The Basecamp: Where your journey begins 🏕️
Your Vesterkilde experience starts the moment you arrive. Forget sterile reception desks. You will be welcomed at our classic, breathable canvas Bell tent with a robust wooden briefing table and a cold refreshment from our fully restored, vintage Liebherr cooler.
We brief you thoroughly, hand over your meticulously maintained gear, and send you into the wild. Muddy gear upon return? We handle it backstage in our dedicated workstation. You just focus on the experience.

Yes, absolutely. To guarantee a premium experience without the crowds, our capacity is strictly capped at 6 adult and 4 kids Kostka kickbikes per timeslot, alongside our limited escape backpacks. We highly recommend booking online as early as possible to secure your gear.
Our Basecamp is pitched right at the edge of Blåbjerg Klitplantage, directly opposite the local dog forest (Hundeskov) in Nørre Nebel at Klintingvej 80. Drive up our driveway and look for our large, cream-colored Blue Moose canvas tent. There is ample free parking available right next to the starting point.
True adventure doesn't stop for a little rain! We operate in typical Danish weather, so please dress appropriately. The dense forest provides excellent cover, and returning muddy gear is no problem. If you prefer to reschedule your adventure due to the weather forecast, you can do so up to 24 hours in advance for a small administrative fee of 75 DKK. We only initiate free rescheduling from our side in the rare event of extreme, unsafe weather warnings.
It is the perfect blend of the physical and digital worlds. You will use a custom smartphone app to navigate and follow the storyline, while carrying a premium backpack filled with physical tools, locked boxes, and props needed to solve the puzzles in the real world.
Dog mushing is physically demanding for your four-legged friend. For their safety and well-being, we only allow mushing during the cooler parts of the day—early mornings and late evenings. Check our booking calendar for available time slots.
Absolutely! Since we are located right next to the local dog forest, well-behaved dogs are very welcome to join your family on the Escape Tours. Please note that dogs must be kept on a leash in the main plantation. (If you want your dog to actively pull a kickbike, please book a specific Dog Mushing session).
Our Escape Tour backpacks are perfectly optimized for groups of up to 4 people to ensure everyone is actively engaged. If you have an extra person, they can join for a small surplus fee of 50 DKK. For larger groups, we recommend booking multiple backpacks for the same route to compete against each other!
Yes! For our local community and frequent visitors, we offer a 10-Turs Klippekort (10-ride punch card) for 1.250 DKK, valid for both Mushing and standard Kickbike rentals.
Our phygital escape tours are designed to be accessible to a wide range of visitors and are currently available in Danish (DA), English (EN), German (DE), and Dutch (NL)! 🌍🧩
